firstPro is seeking an experienced full cycle accounts payable specialist to join a great and growing team in the Marietta area. The company is very stable and you'll have the opportunity to work with a great manager! Implementation/process improvement experience is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt and processing to payment disbursement.
• Receive, verify, and process invoices, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and matching with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information, payment terms, and banking details.
• Process payments via check, ACH, wire transfer, and other electronic payment methods, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any outstanding balances or discrepancies.
• Manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and vendor performance metrics.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing accruals, reconciliations, and audit support documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting regulations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and receiving, to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in full cycle accounts payable or a related accounting function.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, best practices, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
