Job Posting Title: Copy Editor Intern Department: Creative Services Reporting to: Senior Copy Writer Location: Topeka, KS Overview: We are looking for a talented and motivated Copy Editor Intern to join our Strategic Communications team. You'll proof and edit content for our corporate and consumer-facing marketing initiatives for independent financial advisors and their clients. If you have a sharp eye for detail, enjoy the art of great grammar and are interested in financial services, we'd love to work with you. Here's what you'll be doing: * Proofreading and editing communication and marketing materials to ensure they're accurate and error-free * Reviewing and refining e-blasts before distribution * Providing design-ready copy to our graphic and web design teams * Organizing archives and coordinating thank you gifts for AE's quarterly magazine * Various tasks to keep the team running smoothly What do we need from you? * College-level coursework in advertising, mass communications/journalism, marketing or English * Superb written and verbal communication skills * Familiarity with AP style * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Experience with or willingness to learn about AI editing and writing tools * Work well independently and as part of a team Bonus Points: * Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) * Experience with project management software (we use Workfront) What you'll get: * Flexibility around class schedules and finals * Access to an on-site café and gym * Continuous personal and professional development opportunities * Recognition for hard work & exemplary performance * Employee-sponsored events … and much more!
