Pediatric Psychologist Search extended until 3/12/2025 Hiring Department: UICOMP-Pediatrics Location: Peoria, IL USA Requisition ID: 1025496 Posting Close Date: 3/12/2025 Budgeted Salary Range: $100,000 to $114,000 per year The pediatric psychologist will provide psychoeducational evaluations, developmental evaluations and behavioral management for infants, toddlers, and children with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. The psychologist will collaborate with team to decide and then perform assessments that are needed and then provide feedback to the family and the care team. They will also provide behavioral intervention to help the child and family achieve their goals. The psychologist has the opportunity to participate in education, research and quality improvement. Position Summary The Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is looking to add pediatric psychology to the program. The pediatric psychologist will work with developmental behavioral pediatrics, neurodevelopmental pediatrics, child development advanced practice registered nurses, social work, dietitians, nurses, and additional clinical staff to provide comprehensive care to patient with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Duties & Responsibilities * Conduct psychoeducational testing and other developmental tests as part of neurodevelopmental assessment along with neurodevelopmental and developmental behavioral providers. * Collaboration in patient and family care with the Child Development and Rehabilitation Team including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social work, dietitians and other clinical staff. * Writing of comprehensive assessment reports. * Treatment of behavioral issues common to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. * Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows in pediatrics. * Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * PhD or PsyD in psychology * APA internship in Child or Pediatric psychology * Psychoeducational and developmental testing in child with developmental and neurodevelopmental concerns * Experience in behavioral interventions in children with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities. * Current Illinois Registration/licensure in clinical psychology or eligible in Illinois Preferred Qualifications * Fellowship in pediatric psychology. * Experience working with children and their families who have complex medical conditions. * Interest in leading/participating in research or quality improvement in the area of child development and neurodevelopmental disabilities. * Interest in providing supervision to fellows in pediatric psychology.
