They also help provide education, monitor controlled substances, order, stock and maintain inventory. Additional duties include: provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy student; documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts; evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry; maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software; checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. There will also be some limited supervision of pharmacy technical staff.
