THE POSITION
* CONTINUOUS UNTIL FILLED *
Job Summary:
Under supervision, performs a variety of administrative duties in support of professional staff in assigned work group.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS (must be attached to the application prior to submission):- Proof of the highest education claimed on the job application - other than high school or G.E.D. (foreign degrees must have proof of equivalency from an accredited agency) - must be provided with the application, at the time of submission.
Position information:
This is a part-time unclassified position, limited to 980hours/fiscal year. Schedule may vary between 7 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Gathers information from various sources.
- Assists in the preparation of written reports and recommendations.
- Conducts basic surveys at the direction of full-time City staff.
- Provides information to the public, as directed.
- Drafts correspondence for the signature of others.
- Performs basic mathematical calculations.
- May drive to different locations to perform work, site inspections/surveys or attend meetings within and outside the City.
- Performs related duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Equivalent to high school graduation and be currently enrolled in a college or university or other continued educational program, including vocational or certified training programs.
Knowledge of:
- Modern English usage.
- Basic mathematics.
- Personal computers and related software applications.
Skill and Ability to:
- Compile, review and evaluate data.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:

- Mathematics, including statistics.
- Research and analytical methods.
- Personal computers and related software applications.
Skill and Ability to:
- Compile, review and evaluate data.

- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
WORKING CONDITIONS

- May be required to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
