Join our team as a key contributor in the Legal and Library Services section, where you'll play a vital role in advancing the mission of the Correctional Services Division to support adults in custody and promote successful transitions into the community. * Note: this position will receive a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55% which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The effective date of the increase is January 1, 2025 for February 1, 2025 paychecks. About the Job - Your Role The Correctional Services Division is committed to reducing the risk of future criminal behavior among adults in custody (AICs), whether they are incarcerated, transitioning from prison to the community, or under supervision in the community. As part of this mission, the Programs and Services Unit's Legal and Library Services section plays a vital role in planning, evaluating, and improving CS Division's efforts. In your role within the Legal and Library Services section, you will focus on enhancing the delivery of institution-based library services, programs, and projects, as well as other CS Division initiatives. Through collaboration, you will drive consistency, accountability, and operational efficiencies. You will provide direct policy analysis and support to the Legal and Library Unit Manager and Supervisors, coordinating activities across key administrative areas such as fiscal policy, program design and operations, performance measurement, and legislative policy development. Additionally, you will review and refine division policies to ensure a system-wide approach to implementation, both within the Division's organizational framework and in interagency and community relations. Working under general direction, you will ensure the effective statewide delivery of Legal and Library Services, maintaining high-quality operations and services. This position is represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two (2) years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
