Role Summary MetaPhase Consulting is seeking an Enterprise Architect to join our growing team in support of a federal customer. The EA will work directly with senior client staff to align business and technology resources to achieve strategic outcomes. The process of describing the current and future state of the agency, and laying out a plan for transitioning from the current state to the desired future state, helps the agency eliminate waste and duplication, increase shared services, close performance gaps, and promote engagement among government, industry, and citizens. Decisions may include the modernization of legacy applications to standard platforms, migration of stand-alone systems to core data centers, or nomination of enterprise standards for key functions. The EA is expected to collaborate with experts of other disciplines in building and communicating a recommendation to the team and to the client organization. Basic Qualifications * Experience with developing and maintaining EA artifacts using FEAF, DODAF constructs * Experience with and demonstrable use of standard EA notations (ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, etc) in support of EA artifact development * Proficiency in the advanced usage of an EA tool (e.g. Sparx, Orbus, Alfabet, etc) * Ability to objectively recommend, evaluate and rationalize customer's solutions and IT investments in support of achieving their strategic objectives through target state IT architecture, investment planning and technical standards * Experience in contributing to the development and maintenance of target state IT architectures and strategic IT roadmaps * Experience working with and implementing TOGAF and SAFe methodologies and frameworks * Technically savvy - preferably with an application development and/or technical/solution architecture background * Ability to interact with technical/development teams and devise standard notations and taxonomies (e.g. CSDM) in order to provide better transparency to application/system designs and compositions * Deep understanding of Zero Trust 2.0 * Ability to develop technical presentations and present to a wide range of audiences (Non-technical -> Super technical) * Ability to work with EA neophytes (on the customer side), teach and coach them into not sabotaging our contract through their direct and indirect actions Essential Responsibilities * Support the continual definition and elaboration of the enterprise-wide current and target architectures for the near term (1-2 years) through longer term (3-5 years). * Promote usage of cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS); increased mobile services for a remote and distributed workforce; continued development of an integrated and layered security architecture (e.g., Zero Trust Architecture); and advanced analytics supporting U.S. financial market analysis and consumer financial risk identification and mitigation based on market data. * Contribute to the development of the Technology Roadmap that describes the transition from current state to targeted architectures over the next 3 years. This includes assistance in defining the priority and sequence of transition projects, recognizing interdependencies among projects and with ongoing operations * Organize and facilitate architecture working groups to assist with: the identification and evaluation of new technologies applicable to the agency, the development and building of consensus to targets, development and maintenance of standards, and alignment of projects with the agency's target architecture. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $150-175K.
