VPE Thermal is seeking an effective Production Planner to join our team and maximize our impact as an organization. The Production Planner will be responsible for developing effective schedules, overseeing activities and details, and monitoring schedule adherence from design and compliance to shipping for on-time delivery with an ERP environment. Duties will consist of managing various administrative tasks, tracking, and ensuring that the programs and projects meet company goals and objectives. If this describes you, then we need to talk!
Objectives of this role
- Create and maintain a master schedule across multiple disciplines including design, procurement, quality records, and manufacturing using our ERP system.
- Implement dynamic scheduling according to business needs and conditions.
- Create daily and weekly WIP control dispatch objectives for the Production floor.
- Coordinate resource arrivals and availability to ensure projects can continue to schedule and without disruptions.
- Monitor every step of multiple projects or programs for successful completion.
- Track activities and materials for schedule adherence.
- Strongly participate in team meetings to lead schedule objectives including progress, productivity and to mitigate resource and process convergence of scheduled objectives.
- Identify best practices and procedures to inform future programs.
- Coordinate necessary supplies for program setup and execution to delivery schedules.
Responsibilities

Skills and qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in scheduling or project management using an ERP system.
- College degree or equivalent.
- Skilled and knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering (2+ years preferred).
- Microsoft Office proficiency including, Word, Excel, and Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Detail, thorough, and initiative oriented.
- Knowledge of design and manufacturing process flow.
- Responsible, dependable and ready to learn.
