Join Our Team: Shape the Future of Waste Management! Are you passionate about making a difference in environmental safety and waste management? Crystal Clean is looking for an Associate Product Manager to take charge of our Containerized Waste service line, focusing on the collection, handling, and transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. If you have a knack for navigating complex waste profiles and a strong grasp of regulatory compliance, this role is for you! Your Mission: As an Associate Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our waste logistics, ensuring that we handle and transport waste efficiently and safely. Your expertise in waste management and DOT regulations will help us maintain top-notch service for our clients, while also ensuring compliance with environmental laws. What You'll Do: * Safety First: Champion health and safety protocols, always prioritizing safety in every aspect of your role. * Sales Enablement: Serve as a technical sales resource for our Branch Sales Managers (BSMs), guiding them through the intricacies of waste management and help them sell our services. * Vendor Liaison: work closely with our vendor partners to get waste profiles approved timely into those facilities, following all RCRA, DOT and vendor specific safety and profile approval policies. * Customer Liaison: Act as the bridge between our clients, internal waste approvals, and third party TSDF waste approvals ensuring smooth communication and satisfaction. * Relationship Builder: Forge and maintain strong connections with field and internal support teams. * Approval Process Guru: Prepare and review Waste Stream Surveys, analyze lab data, and handle Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Understand how that translates to treatment processes and where waste is most effectively/ efficiently routed. * Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with RCRA, DOT, and state regulations to ensure all waste is managed within legal guidelines. * Efficient Operations: Oversee the placement, labeling, and disposal of materials to streamline operations within our facilities. * Special Projects: Tackle special assignments and contribute to innovative waste management solutions. What We're Looking For: * Experience: * 2-5 years in a technical role dealing with waste, RCRA regulations, DOT transportation. * Prior Experience as a field chemist, waste coordinator, waste approvals, or environmental manager in an industrial, chemical or similar setting would be ideal. * Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; knowledge of RCRA is a must. * Skills: Strong familiarity with EPA, DOT, waste profiling. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle complex waste management scenarios. * Travel: ability to travel 25% of the time.
