JOB SUMMARY Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Cecil College is currently looking for a part-time instructor to teach Shielded Metal ARC and MIG & TIG welding classes. * We are looking for talented, motivated, and reliable instructors to provide instruction on: * The fundamentals of stick, MIG, and TIG welding * Working knowledge of the theory of the various types of welding and ability to teach and demonstrate the processes * A thorough knowledge of the methods, safety, materials, tools and equipment used in welding * Additional responsibilities include: Supervising and monitoring students' use of tools and equipment. Observing and evaluating students' work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement. Maintain attendance and administrative forms. * Other duties as assigned. Requirements: * AWS Certifications in the various welding processes * 5+ years of recent welding experience * Must be proficient in SMAW, GTAW, GMAW * Must be adept at instructing adult students at various skill levels * Must have flexibility in availability, including evenings * Teaching experience highly preferred Schedule: Thursday from 5-9pm Physical Demands: Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move up to a maximum of 50 lbs. The physical activity of this position includes, but is not limited to: climbing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, lifting, grasping, twisting and sitting. Work Environment: The worker will be subject to dust, noise, fumes, and odors. The worker will be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions.
