Artistic Director Assistant - SWP We are searching for an experienced Artistic Director Assistant - SWP at our Arapahoe Campus facility. Position Title: Artistic Director Assistant # of Positions to Fill: 1 Department/Program: Summer Writing Program 12080 Work Location Authorization: 100% On-Site Campus Location: Arapahoe Campus Reports to: Artistic Director FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly FTE: 100% (40 hrs/week) Compensation: $16.00 an hour Application Deadline: May 17, 2024 or until filled Job Summary Assists Artistic Director with administration, teaching, hosting, and transportation needs. This is a temporary position for 3 weeks (includes one 2 hour paid training prior to start date) that runs from June 9 - July 29, 2024. Job Duties & Responsibilities * On-deck Monday mornings to assist the smooth launch of each week. * Checks in with Liaisons daily regarding guest faculty and their events * Checks in with SWP Director and Program Coordinator daily regarding program & event updates * Helps to coordinate administrative queries and logistics, directing inquiries to relevant staff member * Performs general office tasks including filing, copying, collating, creating, and maintaining documents. * Assists Artistic Director with events scheduling and set up, tech, and classroom needs including tech check out from Allen Ginsberg Library and IT. * Collects and photocopies Artistic Director administrative and course related paperwork * Collects introduction and interview draft materials * Provides transportation to and from events * Couriers mail and messages between Artistic Director and the SWP office * Assists in assembling and tracking conference materials, and other course materials * Provides service in other areas in which the Artistic Director may need support * Other administrative tasks as needed What Naropa Requires… * Be attentive, respectful, and prompt * Ability to manage time and multitask * Highly organized and professional * Knowledge of and interest in contemplative education and innovative poetics * All job candidates must hold a commitment to co-create a diverse and inclusive community and actively participate in related JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion) professional development regarding the dynamics of privilege and oppression and the impact these have in the workplace. * All job candidates must demonstrate their level of understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression, and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity. * All job candidates must demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of and appreciation for the values of Naropa University and the capacity to demonstrate an integration and embodiment of these values as evidenced in work, communication, collaboration styles, and other general workplace behaviors. Educational requirement: * BA in English Literature, Writing or some related field Minimum length of prior applicable professional experience required: * Must have worked in administrative capacities for at least 6 months. Employees who work fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in Naropa's retirement plan only, which includes up to 2.5% employer matching. All regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including student workers, accrue sick leave benefits. Full-time and part-time staff positions accrue vacation and personal time. All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
