Overview Trellis Services is currently hiring Instructors to work in our After School Program. In this role, you will work in a 3:1 ratio with children between the ages of 10-21 diagnosed with autism. You will complete arts/crafts, play games/puzzles and go on community outings. The Program is open Monday through Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm in Edgewood--right off I95. This position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! PAY RATE IS $18/hr MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 100 HOURS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH INDIVIDUALS WITH DELAYS Responsibilities As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. * Provide 3:1 support with community independence and recreation/leisure activities * Flexible schedules * Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis * Great foundation for a career in special education and related fields This is an exceptional opportunity to do meaningful work that makes a difference! Qualifications Requirements: * Meet the minimum age requirement of 18 * Eligibility to work in the United States. * The ability to pass a background check. * Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays * Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
