Company Penn Medicine Home Health Summary HOURS: Full time position with sometime required on call and weekend hours. POSITION SUMMARY: Transport operations manager will develop, standardize, and optimize transport workflows to include Inpatient, Emergency Department, Radiology, LG campus/all site locations, Urgent Care Transport needs. Transport operations manager will monitor transport data to ensure optimal efficiency including, Percentage of transport types, On time of vendor transport agencies, and will develop standard work to improve ED and IP LOS. Transport operations manager will work with all multi-disciplinary stakeholders ensuring patient readiness is improved with a strong operational focus, Transport manager will ensure vendor Contracts are followed to ensure adherence and will meet with vendors individually to foster relationships. Transport operations manager will collaborate with leaders in Stroke, Trauma, Emergency Department, Cardiology, Internal medicine, and pediatrics , Transport operations manager will work with Prehospital Emergency physician and Emergency Department director to establish improved workflow for critical care patients requiring transport out of Hospital. TOM- will work with Case management leaders as needed, TOM will serve as Hospital transport expert and be familiar with EMS Transport Billing procedures. Work with Emergency Department Director on EMS incoming calls, to streamline and improve quality of EMS med reports and connections with Lancaster Emergency Associates (LEA) of incoming LEA Medical command reports, to review medical command reports and share any trends with ED, Trauma and LEA leadership. To streamline communication practices and methods related to incoming and outbound transports. Will lead A 3 work groups, PDCA cycles required to improve Transport operations center outcomes. Focus on Transport operations within LGH will assist in improved LOS and will serve to tighten transport unnecessary spending. Transport operations manager will report to Director of Emergency Department ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties: * Develop, Organize Transport operations center workflows, standard work. * Lead transport coordinators working within the Transport operations center. * Review, monitor, trends of Transport data, assess opportunities for improvement and work toward process improvement in order to improve outcomes. * Ability to review, process and understand data. * Review Transport budget, ensure Vendor invoices are submitted correctly after clinical review. * Monitor Incoming EMS Command calls. * Employee oversight, coaching mentoring, scheduling, timecards, budget review. * Lead daily team huddles to ensure operational processes are successful. * Ensure patient hand-offs are standardized, intra organization and, in conjunction with EMS. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above: Add 0-3 additional bullets related to non-essential functions that are expected of the job. * Responsible for Helipad transport license and safety education for applicable parties who utilize. * Responsible for preparing for Medical command regulatory survey. * Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:. * High School Diploma required. * Licensed Paramedic, EMT, and or Prehospital RN with Direct report, leadership Experience of individual contributors/staff members. * Bachelors Degree. * Clinical background. * Management experience required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree required in healthcare leadership preferred.
