Help Duties * Serves as a Special Assistant within in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Programs Office. * Serves as staff writer for the Deputy Director's written products and presentations. * Researches, reviews, edits and rewrites content to effectively explain and interpret a variety of complex and potentially controversial policies, programs, issues, and activities. * Analyzes a wide range of primary source materials to ensure the Deputy Director is accurately and objectively informed and prepared for decision-making. * Manages special projects, providing advice to senior management on major program issues related to policy. * Conducts comprehensive analyses of current OJP initiatives, gathers input and guidance, and provides feedback.
