For information regarding the USF Health, please visit our website at http://health.usf.edu/index.html POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be working in the Department of Neurology Multiple Sclerosis Division as an academically oriented Assistant Professor Neurologist. Will be responsible for providing medical care and health counseling. This position will also conduct health seminars , providing health consultative services, conducting medical research and clinical studies. This position will include opportunities for medical student , resident and MS Fellow teaching. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing medical care, including outpatient and in hospital examinations/diagnosis and treatment/therapy. Prepares medical records and correspondence related to patient care. Conducts health counseling in preventative medicine for patients Conducts research and studies for the Multiple Sclerosis Division. Serves as a PI for the MS studies. Conducts teaching to MS fellow, residents, and medical students in the Department of Neurology. Assistant Program Director for the MS fellowship. Other duties as assigned POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor- Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals, and be a recognized authority in the field of specialization.
