Job Posting Title: Secretary to Counseling Office/Volunteer Coordinator Job Description: This position is a full time (40 hours a week) position which combines Secretary to Counseling Office (20 hours a week) and Volunteer Coordinator (20 hours a week). Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Responsible for the recruitment, placement, training, and scheduling of volunteers in schools. Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with volunteers, school staff, and principal. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Occasional lifting, five (5) to ten (10) pounds * Frequent sitting and standing * Occasional reaching and bending Responsibilities: Maintain a database of volunteers. Develop and implement programs to utilize volunteers effectively. Collaborate with building leadership to align volunteer efforts with school goals. Conduct orientation of volunteers and training as appropriate. Manage recruitment and coordination of volunteers for various school functions. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program and recommend adjustments based on surveys and other data collected. Collect and report volunteer data to the Office of School-Community Partnerships. Participates in District meetings relative to the school volunteer program. Initiate rapport with new families. Provide ongoing communication with school and community. Plan and conduct recognition for volunteers. Certifications: Education: High School or Equivalent (Required) Skills: Position Type: Regular Primary Location: Highlands Ranch High School One Year Only (Yes or No): No Scheduled Hours Per Week: 40 FTE: 1.00 Approx Scheduled Days Per Year: * (260 days indicates a year-round position. Time off [or Off-Track Days] are then granted based on the position. Minimum Hire Rate: $16.53 USD Hourly Maximum Hire Rate: $20.82 USD Hourly Full Salary Range: $16.53 USD - $25.11 USD Hourly * All salary amounts listed above are based on a full-time (1.0) FTE. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE. Benefits: This position is eligible for voluntary 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement plans.
