THE JOB: As a Senior Computer Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and reinforcing known company IT standards and processes. THE STARTING RATE: * $37.50 THE DAY-TO-DAY: * Trains and mentors Computer Engineer personnel on servers, operating systems, property applications, and automations tools. * Monitors the MGM National Harbor Help Desk queues and works cooperatively with the Corporate IT department, National Harbor IT department, and vendors to facilitate correction of incidents and problems. * Acts as the property expert on technologies, setting priorities in incident resolution, and executing resolutions. * Responsible for driving high priority incident resolution within the set SLA. * Administers Data Center systems, servers, and technology projects. * Partners with Corporate IT on monitoring backups and other batch jobs and resolving issues as they arise. * Installs PC, server, and network hardware/software. * Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on PCs, printers, servers, network equipment and other hardware. Installs service releases and performs routine maintenance on desktop applications. * Maintains licensing information for all applications and operating systems using an established process. * Answers inquiries in person and via telephone, e-mail, and voicemail concerning the use of computer hardware and software. * Updates the shift report on a daily basis to include required information updates and to reflect significant activities that occurred during the shift. * Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs. * Responds effectively to guest inquiries related to MGM National Harbor and the National Harbor area providing excellent guest service. * Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Two (2) year college degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * 4+ years of prior relevant experience. * Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: * Cross-platform experience, and the expertise to identify, and resolve integration issues. * Network+ and/or MCP Certification THE PERKS & BENEFITS: * Health, vision, and dental insurance * 401k plan * Paid lunch breaks with access to the Employee Dining Room * Professional development opportunities * Tuition reimbursement * Exclusive discounts on entertainment, food, hotel stays, and more.
