Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a summer Software Engineering Intern to join its team based in King of Prussia, PA. In this role, you will support the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software applications in the Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TTWCS). The candidate will support software efforts using object-oriented software design principles, Java or C++, and the Linux operating system. The candidate must be capable of working successfully in a team environment under the supervision of senior engineers. Basic Qualifications: * Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline * Ability to work well in a team environment * Familiarity with software development and object-oriented programming in Java or C++ * Familiarity with performing software and/or systems integration and testing of software applications in the integration lab including virtualized environments * Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access Desired Skills: * Familiarity with Linux Operating System and command terminal * Basic experience with scripting in Python or Bash * Software testing experience (test case writing/execution) * Strong verbal and written communication skills Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
