Avionics Technician II Location: Tullahoma, TN Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $25-$31 per hour (based on experience) Work Hours: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM. Mandatory lunch break. Overtime may be required. Position Overview The hiring company is looking for an experienced Avionics Technician to perform avionics system installations, maintenance, updates, and modifications on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. This role requires troubleshooting and diagnosing avionic system malfunctions on certified transport aircraft and conducting minor sheet metal fabrication. The successful candidate will have experience with flight data, navigation, and communication systems and will ensure all work complies with FAA regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform avionics installations, system updates, and modifications for flight data, navigation, and communication systems on transport category aircraft. Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics system malfunctions using industry-standard test equipment and manufacturer schematics. Conduct minor sheet metal fabrication for new or replacement parts in compliance with FAA standards and industry guidelines. Document and sign off on aircraft logbook entries for all maintenance performed, following repair station procedures. Collaborate with management and team members to enhance aircraft modifications and ensure safety and efficiency. Qualifications and Experience U.S. citizenship is required. Ability to obtain or hold a valid U.S. passport. Must live within a reasonable commute to Tullahoma, TN. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet productivity goals. Must be available for overtime if needed. 3-5 years of avionics maintenance experience on military rotary-wing aircraft or civilian equivalent models. Experience troubleshooting avionics systems using wiring diagrams, schematics, and test equipment. Ability to start contributing quickly and independently, producing billable hours within the first two weeks of employment. Strong ability to think logically, technically, and strategically to solve complex avionics issues. Preferred Qualifications Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is preferred but not required. Experience with Blackhawk helicopters or similar rotary-wing aircraft. Military avionics experience is highly valued. Personal standard hand tools and toolbox. Why Join Us?
