Posting Date 08/16/2024 Closing Date 07/31/2025 Position Purpose Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Student Technicians work Spring and Fall semesters, summer semester is optional. Working in EHS as a CAD Student Tech, the student will work closely with EHS Manager to create, manage, and maintain all Emergency Posters on campus. Duties will include, but not limited to: * Utilizing Auto CAD and Photoshop programs, student will create and maintain Emergency Posters for UCM Campus. * Create and Edit Floor-plans, which will include taking measurements of rooms / buildings across campus. * Assist EHS Manager with maintaining UCM Property Maps * Assists EHS Manager with special projects and events by creating layouts and maps for the events. * Perform other task as assigned including computer task and office duties. Minimum Requirements: * Have attended at least one semester (12 credit hours) at UCM * Have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 Additional documents required at time of interview: * Unofficial university transcript * Current class schedule Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Credit Hours (Specify hours below) Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Other - Auto CAD & Photoshop Experience Prefer students currently pursuing a degree in: * Design and Drafting or similar Must have previous hands-on experience with Auto CAD and Photoshop. Student must be organized, self-starter, focused, detail-oriented, and a problem solver. Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Driver's license, Missouri license required Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Sensory abilities: special vision and/or hearing requirements (specify), Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Physical & Environmental Factors: Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to heights, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 25 lbs Lifting weight Special Working Conditions: Professional appearance
