YOUR ROLE The Chemical Process Engineer optimizes the operational conditions to ensure that finished products meet the quality and reliability targets. * Design operational strategies, procedures and methods according to Formula Card and Finished Product variables. Plan and undertake scheduled process interventions in the cell. * Carry out routine reviews on operational conditions, raw material quality, addition systems and process conditions to avoid out of compliance and other problems with production. * Respond to breakdowns and adjust operational parameters when needed. Help with diagnosing faults and breakdown problems. Implement adjustments and make sure equipment is working correctly. Support with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs. * Continuous review of operational procedures, making sure all of them are updated and approved by QA and R&D. Make sure that the technical documentation system is reflecting the current operating conditions. * Ensure operator training system is active and updated. Train production operators to increase the staff capability. Implement operational validation systems and make sure operators are following them. * Work with local and regional QA and R&D functions to make sure procedures, documentation and standards are correctly applied and documented. Follow up on any deviation, documenting it and leading the definition of the action plan to remediate it. * Cooperate with Cell HPS & Reliability Engineers to develop standards and improving the effectiveness of the activities. * Ensure plant meets regulatory requirements for the process. Ensure projects are completed on time. * Evaluates safety and environmental impact of process; assesses risk the operation has on employees and community. YOUR SKILLS * Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering required (Masters preferred) * 1-2 years previous relevant work experience * Knowledge and experience with liquid chemical processing and raw materials to finished product is preferred. The salary for this role is $88,000.00 - $100,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
