In this role, you'll help maintain a safe, clean environment, ensure program quality, and build positive relationships with children and their families You will be responsible for planning and implementing daily activities, serving as a positive role model, and supporting the YMCA's values and "Character Counts" philosophy. We're looking for someone passionate about working with children, committed to high standards, and able to create engaging activities. Essential abilities for this role: Lead and participate in active sports and games with children. Monitor behavior and physically intervene when necessary. Plan and carry out daily, weekly, and monthly curriculum and activities. Respond swiftly to critical incidents and emergencies. Observe participant activities and enforce safety regulations. Qualifications * Hold current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. (required before working in the classroom) * High school Diploma or Equivalent * Willing to take ECE courses or work towards a CDA certificate * Early Education experience * At least 2 years working with young children or Familiar with Developmentally Appropriate Practices
