Salary/Position Classification
* $12.50 Hourly, Non-Exempt
* 5-10 hours per week
* 100% Remote Work Availability: No
* Hybrid Work Availability: Yes
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Attend UND athletic events, games, press conferences and other events as assigned by Editors
* Interview people by phone or in person
* Record notes in shorthand or on tape and write stories up on the computer
* Developing new sources, gathering news, writing accurate and interesting news stories, etc.
* Work under strict deadlines, keeping stories balanced, fair, and lawful
* Be available odd times throughout your day (to cover various stories)
* Have solid knowledge of AP style, grammar, and spelling

Minimum Requirements
* Be available for the possibility of weekly meetings
* Work well under pressure
* Organized
* Enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit for the employed academic semester
