The Spare Parts Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely delivery, effective organization, communication of statuses, and the adequate inventory for stock items, consumables, and item requisitions. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: * Coordinates customer needs * Identifies and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as quality, delivery date, price, quantity, and places orders * Manages and communicates order statuses and issues * Resolves ordering/purchasing problems with vendors * Escalates issues to supervisor in a timely manner * Prepares reports and completes various other tasks as needed * Provides substantive ideas for process improvements * Identifies cost savings initiatives Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1+ years of experience in a similar role required * Experience in spare parts sourcing, logistics and purchasing Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * 5+ years of experience in a cGMP facility * Expertise of purchasing practices and procedures * Knowledge of SAP and MERP * Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market for the site * Skill in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids * Excellent customer service skills * Sourcing expertise Location: This role is located onsite at our Lincoln, NE facility.
