Our Technology team is growing, and we are looking for a talented Full Stack Web Developer to provide leadership and sustained contribution across a portfolio of geospatial software applications. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a cross-functional team of subject matter experts, systems analysts, and developers to build, configure, and deliver cutting edge solutions to our clients. We develop solutions that leverage leading geospatial APIs including Esri, MapBox, Open Layers and more. Our technology stack is modern and focuses on Typescript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL. Our user interfaces make use of Material Design and other modern UI toolkits such as Tailwind. We manage our applications using integrated pipelines developed using industry standard DevOps tools. What You Will Do: * Develop and enhance our front-end, back-end and infrastructure for our web applications and internal tools * Design, develop, and document new user-facing features * Lead and participate in pair/mob programming sessions within the development team * Work with application owners to gather and refine application requirements * Work with application owners and clients to assess and scope web-centric geospatial projects * Build, configure, and test spatial REST APIs to enable secure access to data and execute complex tasks or workflows * Design and manage schema changes in various types of spatial SQL databases What You Will Bring: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Mathematics, or relevant area of study. * Proven experience as a Full Stack Web Developer or similar role * 5 years of experience designing, building, and deploying web applications * 5 years of direct JavaScript/Typescript experience in mainstream front-end frameworks * Experience consuming/using RESTful APIs * Experience in lifecycle application development, code documentation (Gitlab, Jenkins) * Experience with multi-tier and distributed web application architecture Preferred Expertise: * Experience developing web applications using JavaScript or other JavaScript mapping APIs * Proven knowledge in writing SQL and managing spatial SQL databases * Experience developing and deploying RESTful APIs * Git, Docker, and other Linux command tools * Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and related orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or AWS ECS * Amazon Web Services, Azure or similar cloud developer experience Who We Are: WSB is a design and consulting firm specializing in engineering, community planning, environmental, and construction services.
