JOB SUMMARY: The Jared Brand and Public Relations Director will lead strategic development of brand communication strategies to enhance our brand value proposition with a unified voice across platforms and channels. Collaborate with business teams in uncovering insights leading to campaign messaging development for Jared and it's new and existing product lines and initiatives. Will work closely with Jared leaders to amplify Jared brand differentiation, products, and services on external and internal platforms. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Creates a strategic intent and framework for brand communications across platforms. Writes communication strategy in line with strategic intent for validation by the Banner and Central Function leaders. Tied corresponding measurable LPI and drives to execution. * Collaborates across Banner Marketing, Merchandise and Planning teams to create brand messaging campaigns aligned to sales goals while overseeing the brand planning process, including the definition of target consumers. * Works with internal and external consumer insight organizations in identifying suitable campaign insights enabling brand differentiation providing Jared a competitive market edge in terms of acquisition and retention. * Develops communications based on insights to help drive better understanding of customers, competitive landscape, trends, and opportunities for the Company. Analyzes information from multiple data sources to uncover insights, statistics, and trends. Analyzes and recommends approach/reaction to trends, outcomes, and findings. * Plays leading role in the establishment of the business brand building strategies while leading the development and refinement of the brand's messaging. Works with creative team regarding content to attract target customer. * Tracks/analyzes and reports on the performance of brand marketing program initiatives, their progress, and results for the purposes of formulating new strategies, improvement of existing strategies, and the capitalization of the brand on any emergent opportunities. * Maintains strong relationships with product brand partners in development of branding strategies for existing and new product launches. * Leads and evolves the overall consumer media relations strategy, executive positions, and messaging to advance their differentiation strategy holistically and by brand. * Writes an array of communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, and fact sheets and shepherds their review, often in time-sensitive situations. * Proactively presents PR ideas to benefit the brand by working with agency partners to execute a PR strategy that includes traditional and non-traditional PR tactics and meaningful experiences for media and customers. * Cultivates and establishes existing and new relationships with media contracts, strengthening the brand's global media, creative, and influence network. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field required. Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: Experience in digital/social media marketing and communications. A strong writer, a strategic communications thinker and a proven communications professional with relevant experience in multiple communication disciplines working for a large, global company or organization. Experience in the retail and consumer products industries. Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 7+ years Technical/Other Skills Required: * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Proven record of accomplishment of managing progressively complex projects in a brand/ agency or consultancy environment; strategic, analytical thinking and personal organization are musts.
