Position Summary This is a sworn supervisory position within the Division of State Patrol. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation, administration, presentation, and evaluation of the Wisconsin State Patrol Criminal Interdiction Program. This position is also responsible for the supervision, counseling, evaluation, and development of Wisconsin State Patrol employees (sworn law enforcement officers), instructors, and trainees, and responsible for the coordination and supervision of facilities, financial resources, materials, and support personnel in relation to the Criminal Interdiction Program. This position also serves as a technical advisor to Division personnel, and other law enforcement agencies. This position will help the agency continue to evolve its interdiction efforts to meet the challenges of a changing world. This position will be responsible for providing consistent oversight of task force officer (TFO) roles within the Division and will be required to acquire an FBI Security Clearance. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range 81-03 with a starting rate of $51.63 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A twelve-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin Compensation Plan. Job Details WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. Qualifications A qualified candidate must meet both minimum requirements: 1) successful completion of the "Cadet" training program at the State Patrol Academy located at Fort McCoy, WI and is certified as a sworn Law Enforcement Officer (or eligible for immediate recertification) and 2) completion of the State Patrol Trooper/ Inspector probationary period.
