Description: Job Responsibilities: Manage daily operations of the QA department, including guiding, delegating, and verifying tasks. Lead training, performance management, and development initiatives for QA staff. Oversee and update HACCP, SOP, and QA programs, procedures, and document control systems. Assist in the review, verification, and validation of BRC requirements. Compile and analyze data to prepare quality reports on products and processes. Ensure all flavors meet BRC standards and customer specifications. Maintain food safety and quality standards for processing raw materials into finished flavors. Communicate issues with on-hold and non-conforming products to the QA Manager. Support the QA Manager in investigating QA/QC-related customer complaints. Conduct GMP inspections and coordinate corrective actions with the Operations team. Manage physical and digital document organization and retrieval. Ensure incoming raw materials and finished products meet company standards, implementing corrective or preventative actions as needed. Document all inspections and log product samples into the QC sample inventory system. Maintain compliance with quality management systems through meticulous recordkeeping. Prepare samples for shipment to testing facilities. Organize and maintain reserve sample storage. Collaborate with Shipping & Receiving, R&D, Operations, and Quality teams to enhance processes and efficiency. Assist the QA Manager with special assessments, audits, continuous improvement projects, and other QA-related tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Required Skills and Abilities: • Associates Degree preferred • Strong communication skills with colleagues, management, vendors, and customers. • Leadership and performance management capabilities. • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance in the food, flavor, or ingredients industry • 1+ year of QA supervisory experience About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
