The Assistant Dean for Finance, Accounting, Contracts and Analytics (FACA) supports the Dean with all administrative and financial operations of the Robert H. Smith School of Business with a consolidated budget of $125+ million. The position will provide strategic development, direction and implementation of all business operations and financial policies, practices and procedures. Oversee the Financial Management, Data Analytics and Budget at the direction of the Dean. The Assistant Dean advises the Dean on the financial impact of strategic development and growth of new initiatives at the school. The Assistant Dean leads data analysis efforts to optimize cost, benefit and ROI of significant strategic decisions. This position provides direction and implementation of all business operations and financial policies, practices and procedures. This position will manage the day-to-day cash flow forecasting, expense reimbursements, vendor payments, procurement, contracts, grants, etc. using procedures that are transparent and compliant with policies of UMD and USM. This position will work with the CFO and Provost's Offices of UMD and other campus officials on the College Budget.
