What you'll do This Director of Decision Science will work closely with various business functions such as product led growth, lifecycle marketing, and performance marketing teams to help drive the collective customer acquisition strategy. They will be responsible for scaling all optimization efforts within the Growth organization as well as the optimization for performance marketing costs and returns . To do so, this person will attract, build, and manage a highly talented team. Although, high levels of individual contributor work is to be expected. They would need to have data wrangling skills - to pull and clean data, ability to do exploratory data analysis, understand patterns, create hypotheses related to the business decision and help validate them through experimentation or modeling. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Growth Insights & Analytics. Responsibility * Create and execute on the vision to scale and improve testing within the Growth organization (e.g. PLG, Lifecycle and Performance Marketing teams) * Build in house capabilities to generate more insights and scale search optimization efforts, particularly with SEM spend * Attract world-class talent and build an impactful team and inclusive culture * Guide multi-touch attribution model creation across all marketing touchpoints while accounting for results from both routes to market (digital and direct) * Work with our business facing teams, understand their pain points and express their problems as an objective function with clear success and risk metrics * Partner with analytics leaders to create a co-development model to scale companywide analytics * Partner closely with our other Product Led Growth team and influencing full funnel optimization for acquired customers from paid and organic search * Develop dashboards to share ongoing Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. What you bring Basic * Master's degree or higher in a STEM field with 8+ years of industry experience * Experience partnering with data engineers to help codify the data wrangling scripts into long term data quality strategies to improve our overall data health * Ability to create a size an opportunity and create a comprehensive business case * Experience working with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets * 5+ years of prior domain knowledge in paid marketing and/or funnel optimization Preferred * Programmatic analytic skills in Python or R and familiarity with the relevant data stack in the programming language of choice - like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Plotting libraries * Strong grasp on statistical fundamentals - regression, clustering, causal inference * Exceptional communication skills at all levels (executive and junior analyst) * A collaborative approach * Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker or similar dashboarding tool Wage Transparency Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $171,500 - $277,025 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
