JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Model Shop Assistant for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting our model shop,3D print department, sculpting and production shop. They will have the opportunity to work with General Model making, Model Paint, Model repair, 3D printing, Mold Making Casting, packaging samples, blister forms, laser cutting and general model shop projects. Responsibilities include: * Cleaning and finishing 3D prints * Paint and finish of 3d prints and samples * Assembly of prototypes * Repair of prototypes * Sample Blister creation * Sample package construction * Wide format graphic printing * Running and Maintenance of 3D printers Skills & Experience required: * Prior experience in similar or related fields * Graduate or currently enrolled in Trade school, art school or related program * Familiarity with 3D design and 3d Printing software * Ability to focus on specific tasks and complete presentation ready samples * Experience with hand and machine tools * Interest in learning new skills and technologies * Experience with Painting and finish techniques * Model painting * Basic level experience with 3D applications Zbrush, rhino, Mudbox, Maya, substance painter, or Quixel * Please have attach portfolio or online portfolio Our Benefits: * Health and Wellness: Medical, dental, vision, disability, life & accident insurance and employee assistance program * Savings: 401K matching, pre-tax spending accounts, and employee discount programs * Compensation: JAKKS Pacific offers a competitive salary. Compensation for this role commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and education and typically ranges from $20.00 - $24.00 an hour.
