UNDER TENN. CODE § 2-4-103 EMPLOYEES IN THIS ROLE MAY BE DESIGNATED TO SERVE AS AN OFFICER OF ELECTIONS, JUDGE, MACHINE OPERATOR, PRECINCT REGISTRAR, ASSISTANT PRECINCT REGISTRAR, OR INSPECTOR. ALL ELECTION COMMISION EMPLOYEES MUST BE ABLE TO FULFILL ANY OF THESE ROLES DURING EARLY VOTING, NURSING HOME VOTING, ABSENTEE VOTING, JAIL VOTING, AND EVEN ON ELECTION DAY. BASED ON THIS REQUIRMENT, ALL ELECTION COMMISSION EMPLOYEES MUST RESIDE IN HAMILTON COUNTY AND BE A HAMILTON COUNTY REGISTERED VOTER.  Under general supervision, maintains inventory of all election equipment and office supplies.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, physical requirements, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics.  This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by incumbents of this class.)The equivalent of a high school diploma plus three (3) years of direct work experience in warehouse management. A valid driver's license is required. Must have a valid driver's license. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must reside in Hamilton County & be a Hamilton County Registered voter under Tenn. Code § 2-4-103. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   Work requires considerable physical effort involving standing walking, sitting and driving. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust while performing the duties of this job.  Must be able to use a fork lift or pallet jack.
