The Patient Account Registrar duties include, but are not limited to: * interview the patient or his/her representative to obtain patient demographics * secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable * work closely with all facets of the Admitting Department, including PBX operator function and reception areas * must be able to operate a computer to input and retrieve data * able to communicate with the population served utilizing age specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatrics * maintain proficiency in medical terminology * special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframe * we are looking for a person with a positive attitude who has compassion and empathy for others * willingness to learn and be ambitious and successful in your role Qualifications Education and Work Experience * effective written and verbal communication skills * ability to multi-task and prioritize needs to meet required timelines * analytical and problem-solving skills * customer service experience, required * high school graduate or GED equivalent, required we are #hiring for #patientaccountregistrar at #SJH or #saintjohnhospital in #leavenworthks in the #admitting department for a #registrar in a #perdiem or #fulltime role to help #patients #LI-MP1
