The Global Programming team manages Prime Video Subscription Video on Demand's (SVOD) global content slate portfolio strategy and release schedule. At the heart of the team's work and strategy is a deep understanding of customer preferences, viewing habits, and production capabilities around the world. Programming leverages data-driven insights to determine the optimal release plans, localization requirements, and content prioritization regardless of countries of origin or deal types. In addition to setting the global strategy, the team builds, launches, and drives adoption for innovative tools, mechanisms, and playbooks to be deployed by programmers around the world. We are seeking a Programming Strategy Manager to be a leading contributor to our team. Key job responsibilities * Develop data-driven audience insights that enable us to better serve new and existing customers, then leverage these insights to uncover Prime Video's programming needs * Manage our content designations process, which is a cross-functional program to identify the magnitude of travelability of titles across our US and international content slate and track/manage these titles and their local programming/marketing support through their lifecycle * Serve as key liaison with the content and marketing localization teams, influencing content localization strategy and consulting on title-level decisions * Operate as a key leader within our Out-of-Home Country program, our initiative to support non-US content traveling around the world * Support the cross-functional library content initiative, which tracks product and programming initiatives impacting library consumption around the world * Collaborate with the team's release strategy members to build and co-lead cross-functional mechanisms and processes that align on the best release dates and level of prioritization for our titles * Drive highly-analytical projects and develop global frameworks and mechanisms that advance our programming and audience strategy * Collaborate with regional and local programming strategy leads to ensure that our global slate's impact is maximized across the world BASIC QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years experience in content programming, strategy, or marketing within a media or technology company or, alternatively, in investment banking or management consulting * Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects * Experience working with and articulating complex business concepts, weighing strategic tradeoffs, and looking around corners to identify creative solutions * Quantitative skills and experience with modeling (Excel) and data analyses * Experience communication effectively in verbal and written form PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Passion for TV and film * Experience in the TV or film industries * Experience working alongside creative development Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $154,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
