This position is full-time and will be a member of the COMNAVAIRPAC/LANT Material Condition Assist Team (MCAT) as a shipboard Damage Control (DC) Subject Matter Expert (SME). What You Will Do * Training Ships Force on the following systems / equipment (this list is not all inclusive): AFFF SYSTEM / CMWD, HALON/ HFP SYSTEM, CO2 FIXED SYSTEM, MAIN AND SECONDARY DRAINAGE SYSTEM, SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPERATUS (SCBA), EMERGENCY BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR (EBAC), HIGH PRESSURE FILTER AIR STATIONS AND BOOSTERPUMPS (HPFA), and LIST AND TRIM / BALLAST. * Review and provide recommendations for the Schedule Of Events (SOEs) for the above systems and equipment. * Develop team training for DC equipment. * Conduct Maintenance Assist Visit (MAVs) as scheduled on CNAP/CNAL CVNs. * Observing AFFF Flight Deck Certification (FDC) with CEMAT onboard CNAP CVNs. * Inspecting, removing, and replacing wire rope on armor hatches and scuttles onboard CVNs with CEMAT as required. What You Must Have * Experience with the following systems: * AFFF * Halon/HFP * Emergency Breathing Air Compressor (EBAC) * Self-Contain Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) * Main Drainage/Ballasting * Watertight/Airtight closures * Firemain * List Control * Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) * Experience demonstrating DC equipment during INSURV Material Inspections (MIs) onboard one or more CVNs. * Knowledge of the Navy supply and 3-M system * Must be able to obtain and maintain an active SECRET security clearance, passport and base / ship access. * 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
