This position serves as an Electronically Stored Information (ESI) Compliance Technician performing specialized professional and advisory functions on behalf of the mandated State of Illinois enterprise ESI fulfillment system for Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, investigatory requests, subpoenas, and other related requests. In this role you will provide support and system analysis, ESI request fulfillment; create and maintain documentation of DoIT ESI departmental processes, training and metrics. In addition, you will assist with the Enterprise Vault and Discovery Accelerator System email journaling and archiving. Minimum Qualifications 1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years college with course work in computer science or directly related fields. 2. Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Systems Services or a related Information Technology field. Specialized Skills 1. Requires one (1) year of professional experience with writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Microsoft PowerShell scripts. 2. Requires one (1) year of professional experience with ESI State of IL FOIA statutes and policies, or similar. 3. Requires one (1) year of professional experience using email eDiscovery and email archiving software systems Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance): 1. One (1) year of professional experience with writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Microsoft PowerShell scripts. 2. One (1) year of professional experience with ESI State of IL FOIA statutes and policies, or similar. 3. One (1) year of professional experience using email eDiscovery and email archiving software systems. 4. Ability to analyze and diagnose system issues and coordinate efforts to resolve. 5. Ability to coordinate the activities of work associates to achieve desired results. 6. Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with others. 7. Working knowledge of general structured programming concepts. 8. Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision.
