REQ title Sr Industrial Engineer - OLS facility layout planning lead As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts you will develop an integrated manufacturing system leveraging state of the art manufacturing processes to design and manufacture advanced space flight vehicles. Within this framework, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Layout Planning Lead to join our industrial engineering team and support the growth of our sites. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects in the hundreds of millions of dollars and possess exceptional technical and project management skills. Partnering with manufacturing and facilities, you'll own and manage the facility layout planning process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. You'll Develop and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders at all levels, including VPs, to facilitate collaboration and decision-making. You'll prepare and deliver monthly progress reports, detailing project status, milestones achieved, and any potential challenges or risks. You'll foster the development of facility layout scenarios analysis to support effective decision-making and future planning. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. We are seeking a proactive, collaborative individual with excellent project management acuity, analytical ability, and team development skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment while developing procedures within the discipline. Responsibilities: * Lead for Florida site facility layout planning - Collect program level requirements, develop facility layouts and requirements, site / location trades and financial analysis, maximizes the facility layout optimization and flow. * Develop and maintain an effective communication throughout the organization. * Develop and maintain company level reporting on the advancement of the projects. * Manage manufacturing-related projects and provide production support, process improvement, operations improvement, and integrated systems expertise. * Drive process improvement through Lean Manufacturing, engineering economic analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical methods, Six Sigma, time studies, waste reduction, and work sampling. * Execute operations improvement and integrate systems through value stream analysis, facility layouts, production systems design, manufacturing process design, systems thinking, facilities planning, and requirements. Qualifications: * BS, MS in Industrial Engineering, Facilities project / program management * 12+ years of experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment. * 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing and facilities planning * 3 years of factory flow and process modeling and simulations experience * 2 years of experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events. * Excellent interpersonal communication and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. * Strong project management and process modeling experience, with preferred certifications such as PMP and Six Sigma Black Belt. * Strong analytical skills and high proficiency in data mining, with exceptional Excel and manual data analysis capabilities. * Prior experience in rocket engine manufacturing, transitioning development to production, and manned space flight production. * Knowledge of manufacturing organizations and supply chain, with hands-on experience in materials and manufacturing processes. * Self-Starter * Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: * Operations Management, Construction Management, MSE and/or MBA * Project Management Certification (PMP) * Rocket Engine Manufacturing Experience * Six Sigma Black Belt Certification * Experience transitioning development to production. * Manned space flight production experience * Strong teaming skills * Experience with manufacturing organizations and/or supply chain * Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
