Company Description Are you open to relocation to the beautiful Santa Ynez valley? An 18-acre private ranch estate in Santa Ynez is seeking a live-in Estate Team - House Manager and Executive Housekeeper / Chef. The couple will divide responsibilities. The House Manager will manage the expansive home, supervise house staff, provide high-level service to Principal and guests, and oversee the property. The Executive Housekeeper will oversee the estate housekeeping tasks and staffing as well as plan and cook simple casual meals when the Principals are in residence. A qualified couple must have experience working together managing a UHNW household, have strong estate management experience, the ability to hire and manage the household staff, and prepare and serve light meals. This is a full-time opportunity with live on-site accommodations in an unattached newly built 2 bedroom, 2 bath house. Job Description House Manager Responsibilities: * Complete oversight and leadership of an 18-acre residential private ranch estate * Provide concierge-level guest services to the family and their visitors, ensuring a fantastic experience for all residents and guests in the home * Develop effective, consistent, and documented communication plans with Principals, internal staff, and related external associates * Supervise daily activities involving household staff, including housekeepers, butlers, and groundskeepers * Create and maintain operational budgets and finances, including purchasing, expense reports, invoices, and other property-related expenses * Maintain house calendar, tracking visits, home events, appointments, maintenance, and repairs * Manage bookkeeping and other accounting and administrative tasks * Secure all needed home equipment, liaising relationships with residence vendors/contractors * Collaborate with Ranch Manager/Groundskeeper to ensure house maintenance, repair and upkeep are orchestrated at the proper level of care and minimal impact to the Principal's personal and professional schedules * Partner with Executive Housekeeper to understand daily menus, timing, set-up, and breakdown of service * Implement and sustain recommended security measures, devices and plans in cooperation with Security Team * Lead all events and hosting from small dinner parties to annual parties, holiday celebrations, and family special occasions * Assist in all aspects of residence special events, including pre and post event set-up and break-down, as well as supervision of the actual event Executive Housekeeper/Chef Responsibilities: * Overall accountability for day-to-day housekeeping and estate upkeep applying a white glove experience * Oversee and assist with cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping the home including floors, windows, furniture, changing bed linens, and sanitizing kitchen * Manage culinary operations, preparing and serving meals and snacks when principals are in residence * Organize, clean, and maintain an inventory of the pantry * Shop for groceries with a focus on locally sourced, farm to table produce, poultry, meat, and other items * Maintain inventory of all food items for the household * Standardize recipes and plate presentations * Handle laundry including washing, folding, hanging and ironing fine bed linens * Organize closets and cupboards * Follow determined protocols, systems and task schedules * Collaborate with the team of current domestic workers and housekeepers * Assist with events held at the home Qualifications House Manager Skills, Qualifications, and Experience: * 10+ years related experience working as a Domestic Couple or a House Manager with a keen understanding of 5-star level service * Possess a keen understanding of the organizational and staffing requirements to sustain an estate at a 5-star level of comfort, high-end aesthetic, and white glove service * Experience supervising housekeeping staff and partnering with staff from other residences * Prior responsibility for household budget creation, implementation, review, and audit * Experience collaborating with facility and grounds crews for renovation, maintenance, and project management * Proven ability to communicate concisely and professionally in email, text, phone, and in-person conversations * Well versed in entertaining, hosting, fine dining, and the specific event organizational needs * Educated in luxury items and procurement * Knowledge of complex home systems, including lighting, heating, cooling, security * Possess polished, calm, and highly discreet characteristics * Operate with urgency and professionalism always * Flexibility with scheduling; ability to work both overtime and weekends as needed * Driver's license with clean record required * Strong references required * Some post high school education - preferably in hospitality and culinary arts is a plus * Must be willing to live onsite in the Santa Ynez area * Must be able to legally work within the United States * Covid vaccination may be required Executive Housekeeper Required Skills and Experience: * 10+ years related experience working as a Domestic Couple or an Executive Housekeeper with a keen understanding of 5-star level service * Proven success working within a team at a private estate for UHNW individuals * Commitment to working with fresh, whole foods and ability to prepare simple yet tasty meals * Possess exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership skills, and be extremely detail oriented * Proven ability to communicate concisely and professionally in email, text, phone, and in-person conversations * Possess polished, calm, and highly discreet characteristics * Flexibility with scheduling; ability to work both overtime and weekends as needed * Driver's license with clean record required * Strong references required * Some post high school education - preferably in hospitality and culinary arts is a plus * Must be willing to live onsite in the Santa Ynez area * Must be able to legally work within the United States * Covid vaccination may be required Compensation: Base Salary $100,000.00 to $110,000.00 per person per year and includes relocation allowance, 2-bedroom home, all utilities, medical, dental and vision insurance, and 401k match.
