Job Title: Continuing Education Associate Specialist Department: Social Work | Faculty Affairs Coach Beyond, a program within the LiFEsports Initiative in the OSU College of Social Work, is looking to hire a part-time and hourly employee to facilitate Coach Beyond training sessions with coaches across Ohio. This employee will also implement the Life and Leadership (L&L) series, sessions designed for high school student-athletes to teach them skills to use both in and out of sports. The role will be hourly (15-20 hours a week). The employee will oversee training implementation as tasked by the Coach Beyond coordinator and in collaboration with their assigned trainings/schools. They will also be responsible for preparing materials and facilitating sessions with coaches and student-athletes. The trainer should be an energetic, engaging speaker with high-level people skills. Experience working with or teaching youth and adults is desired. A background in counseling, social work, sports, coaching, and/or teaching is preferred, as is the pursuit of the CMPC licensure. This position is contingent on continuous external funding. Duties Description * Facilitation and travel to implement Coach Beyond trainings and the Life and Leadership series. This involves facilitating and coordinating training and sessions with the Coach Beyond team, local schools, districts, athletic directors, and coaches. * Preparation of materials for each coach or L&L session. This includes the slides, homework materials, activity materials, and evaluation data requirements. * Various other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required. This position requires the availability to support training delivery in the evenings and on weekends. Desired Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in social work, counseling, sport management or related fields. Relevant experience working in and with schools, coaches, and athletes, experiencing social vulnerabilities. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred. The target hiring range is $18.17-$23.90 per hour. The hourly rate assigned will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and the unit's available budget.
