Controls Test Engineer II - Plymouth, MN - Hybrid Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls Test Engineer II who will design, modify, develop, and implement software programming applications for the HVAC lab and production testing equipment for improved control and reduced test time. They will be expected to participate in the testing process through test plan development, test review and analysis, and software certification providing automated test scripts and plans. Location: Hybrid, Plymouth, MN What you will do: * Interface with internal client groups to understand all planned projects and meet project schedule deadlines with a focus on chillers testing * Design and model testing software for chiller and lab equipment and systems for commercial, industrial, domestic and internal purposes * Design and direct engineering personnel in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products * Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses * Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements * Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field and internal installations * Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks What's in it for you: * Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much more * The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth * The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering) * 2-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Requires knowledge of principles and practices of engineering, preferably in the HVAC industry * PC skills including Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of object-oriented software development required * Experience with C++, HTML, Linux OS, and LabView preferred * Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills * Extensive problem-solving and computer skills * Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with PLC's and HVAC #LI-DF1
