Job Code Recruitment Pool All Applicants Posting Number req5800 Unit College of Humanit and Sciences MBU Department Psychology Department Website Link Location VCU Address 907 Floyd Ave, Richmond, VA 23284 USA Duties & Responsibilities Summary: We are searching for a Postdoctoral Fellow to collaborate with an interdisciplinary (Clinical Psychology; Special Education; Developmental Psychology) research team conducting implementation research. Primary responsibilities for this position will be associated with a project funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). The study is focused on developing a pragmatic treatment fidelity measure for use in elementary schools. The postdoctoral fellow will collaborate with experienced researchers within the Clinical Psychology program and School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the Clark-Hill Institute for Positive Youth Development at VCU (https://clarkhill.vcu.edu/). Typical Duties Primary responsibilities for the position include collaborating (with opportunities to lead) on research papers and grant applications to support their research program. This position suits an individual interested in implementation science and practice, prevention and intervention research, social-emotional learning, and research in community-based settings. About the Position This full-time, 12-month Postdoctoral Fellow position will begin in Fall 2024. The opening is for a one-year fellowship with the possibility of renewal. The individual hired will work directly with a team of principal investigators at VCU to manage data, train and supervise staff, and support school-based research partners. This individual will also have dedicated time to support collaborations with project investigators, members of the Clark-Hill Institute, and graduate students on research papers, conference presentations, and grant applications. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications * Experience with measure development * Experience collaborating with and conducting research in schools * Experience working on federally funded projects * Experience in supervising and managing staff * Experience managing research data sets, knowledge of a range of research methodologies (group experimental, correlational, single-subject experimental, qualitative), advanced data analysis skills, and competencies with advanced statistical software * Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others Minimum Qualifications * PhD in psychology, special education, or other related discipline * Strong quantitative research skills * A demonstrated ability to disseminate research findings * A demonstrated commitment to equity and service to underserved populations Typical Education and Experience * PhD in psychology, special education, or other related discipline FLSA Post Doc Job FTE 1 Exemption Status Exempt Restricted Position E-Class PD - Post Doc Job Category Post Doc ORP Eligible Salary Range Starting at $61,008 Compensation Type Salaried Target Hire Date 5/10/2025 Contact Information for Candidates Bryce McLeod BMCLEOD@VCU.EDU Documents Needed to Apply
