SWBC is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study. Interns will gain practical hands-on experience and training that will provide an opportunity for growth, learning and development within the financial services industry. Full-time and part-time paid internship opportunities will be available in numerous departments, which may include: Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources, Mortgage, Insurance, Legal, PEO, Lender Placed Operations, Financial Institutions, Investment Services and Training. Interns will be placed within a specific division based on interest, experience, academic coursework, SWBC's business need, and flexibility with college/university schedule. We will develop, teach, mentor, and support your efforts throughout the internship. Our interns are given projects that are impactful and meaningful to SWBC, so interns will feel they are a valued team member of our SWBC family. Essential duties include the following: * Assists with social media, writing, and putting together social media plans. * Creates multimedia content, to include video, social media graphics, etc. * Helps organize community involvement efforts and webpage content. * Research industry specific state and federal legislation. * Builds awareness of corporate relations through events, writing articles and virtual means. * Comfortable interacting with senior leadership and upper level management. Intern will acquire practical experience in the following areas: * Learns key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving. * Gains practical, hands on experience that will provide an opportunity for growth. * Works alongside and shadow team members while expanding your knowledge base with the ability to further develop your skills. * Gains exposure to the Financial Services Industry while growing your talents. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: * Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Political Science, Public Relations, Government, Public Administration, English or related program at an accredited university/college. * Expected graduation date of December 2024 or later. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong critical thinker and interpersonal skills required. * Detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills. * Organized and adapt well to change. * Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. * Passion and desire for learning and a proactive energy for getting things done. * Display maturity and a high level of professionalism. * SWBC is a Substance-Free Workplace and requires pre-employment drug testing. * Please note SWBC does not hire tobacco users.
