Perform semiconductor engineering duties in furtherance of design and implementation phases of contactless solutions, leveraging the NXP portfolio of NFC tags, NFC front-ends and controllers. Develop and launch innovating products enabling seamless and wireless applications like payment, access control, transportation, identification or precise positioning. Responsible for developing and strengthening a core and unique set of expertise in the protocols and system architectures relying on NFC technologies. Understand of end-to end secure transactions in embedded world and act as a trusted referent in the Americas region for internal stakeholders and local customers. Responsible for analyzing customer's technical objectives and leading proof of concept, solution design, and demonstrations to improve sales team effectiveness and responsiveness. Contribute to the promotion and deployment in the Americas Regions of Contactless solutions based on NFC. Provide technical skills & support to NXP's sales staff and liaise with the NXP technical community about technical issues and future customer roadmap. Build and maintain technical product trainings for customers during the system definition and implementation. Up to 25% of travel to the Americas, EU, and ASIA required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field. Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered, Software Engineering, Embedded Engineer/Specialist or related occupations. Required skills: Position requires two (2) years of experience in: * Programming Language: Embedded C or Python; * ARM Microcontrollers and its peripherals; * Communication Protocols such as I2C, SPI and UART; * Version Controlling tools such as Git and Bitbucket; * Tools such as LDRA, DSO, JTAG and Logic Analyzer; * MISRA-C Coding Standards; and * Real Time Operating System Concepts. Annual Salary: $204,901 The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles. Company benefits include health. dental, and vision insurance. 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $179,100 to $246,200 annually More information about NXP in the United States...
