Job Title: Webmaster and Social Media Specialist Contract Days: 240 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Lane V) The Webmaster and Social Media Specialist works in collaboration with the Communications Specialist under the supervision of the Superintendent and/or Deputy Superintendent. Qualifications of Employment: * Bachelor's Degree * Graphic Design Skills * Microsoft Suite, Adobe, Google, or similar skills * Copywriting and Storytelling Skills * Extensive knowledge and use of social media in order to build a positive online presence * Experience establishing and maintaining a positive district brand on social media The Webmaster and Social Media Specialist is responsible for assisting with, implementing, and monitoring projects related to the District's communication plan in collaboration with the RSD Communications Specialist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : * Support the athletics department and campus administration to ensure that individual activity and sport web pages meet the District social media standards * Work collaboratively with building and departmental leadership to ensure district, all school websites, and department pages are up-to-date with current information * Assist with the development of a district-wide internal and external communication plan. Works with the Communications Specialist to implement and maintain that plan. * Assist with the publication of all district communication tools including the employee newsletter, family newsletter, and board of education updates. * Design layout and graphics for all District communication. * Assist in preparing district press releases, story ideas and weekly news articles. * Assist in the coordination of all employee recognition awards and planning of recognition activities. * Assist in promoting student activities and accomplishments. * Design promotional materials. * Develop content calendars for social media. * Assist in promoting student activities and accomplishments. * Disseminates information and promotions of and relating to the Russellville School District. * Other duties as assigned.
