Hardware Design Engineer - Raleigh, NC - OnsiteWe are hiring a Hardware Design Engineer who will be in charge of the conceptualization, design, development, and delivery of robust electrical designs. The primary work focus will be on complex switching power supplies, analog and digital designs, and board and system test designs. Job Responsibilities: * Design and development of complex switching power supplies, analog and digital designs, including power, analog, digital, and linear circuit design * Board and system test designs and troubleshooting skills * Support product execution from initial concept to manufacturing and installation * Develop and implement test equipment, test plans, and generate test reports * Support customer and supplier visits and meetings * Generate and maintain parts lists * Perform evaluations and develop recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacements * Conduct field service calls when necessary Skills & Qualifications: * 4+ years of professional relevant hardware design experience * BS Degree in Electrical Engineering * Experience working with analog simulation tools, schematic capture tools (OrCAD preferred) * Familiarity with major test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, function generators, surge and hi-pot generators * Ability to learn by collaborating closely with tenured engineers About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
