Description: * Site inspections, safety audits, accident investigations and documentation * Safety training, issuance of PPE, personal injury investigations, implementation of emergency action plans, corrective actions, disciplinary actions and maintain current knowledge of safety rules and regulations. * He or She will assist field supervisors, foreman with daily activities, as well as other projects assigned. * The candidate must have a minimum of 10 years' experience and valid certifications and qualifications in the construction industry. * Each candidate shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to Cal/OSHA which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct. Additional Skills & Qualifications: * Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements * Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors * Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job * Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines * Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner * Continue education and knowledge of industry-wide HSE-related information and technologies as well as new regulations and trends through continuing education, conferences, and/or periodicals, and continues to develop in-depth specialization * Serve as a Company representative to external HSE organizations * Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations * Good organizational skills * A valid driver's license, if required * A local candidate is preferred * Experience in Industrial environment and familiarity with O&M type work is preferred About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
