Security Agents are responsible for managing all access points onto the property and into the facility including arrival and departure of employees and visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the premises; respond to threats accordingly. Essential Job Functions: * Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and * Investigate illegal or suspicious activities; Answer alarms and investigate disturbances * Operate surveillance equipment to detect suspicious or illegal activities * Ensure surveillance equipment and alarm systems are in good working order * Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary * Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences * Ensure approved visitors are properly identified and recorded and properly escorted while on the premises; escort unapproved visitors from the property when necessary * Other duties as assigned by your supervisor Qualifications: Required: * Must be at least 21 years of age * Must have a valid drivers' license * Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent * Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Health and Senior Services * Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation * Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Preferred: * Two (2) years' experience in security or law enforcement Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This section outlines the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the Security Agent to be successful in their role.
