Job Summary:You will provide all of our employees with well fitting uniforms and mended linens throughout both locations in the park. Enters uniform issue data into a computerized database according to laundry procedures. * Repairs damaged clothing and uniforms, including hand and machine sewing, replacement of buttons and zippers, and other repairs as needed. * Performs minor alterations, including hemming pants and sleeves. * Operates sewing machines and hand irons. * Meets or exceeds production and quality standards * Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area according to laundry policy. * Assists with uniform inventories as directed. * Assists when needed in laundry operations. * Assists with special projects as assigned. Qualifications * Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately. * Basic computer skills helpful, including the ability to start and stop computer-controlled equipment. * Mechanical skills, including the ability to start and stop equipment, set appropriate cycles and formulas, and monitor proper operation. * Basic accounting skills, including the ability to maintain production logs. * Knowledge of safe work practices. Physical Requirements: * Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day. * Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies and linens sporadically throughout the day. * Bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed. * Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas.
