Quality technician/ Platemakers will be responsible for the management of electronic files and the manufacture of litho plates using specialized equipment, the daily maintenance of this equipment and, ensure the archiving of the press samples. Pay range $22-$24/hour, based on experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES * Work in collaboration with Litho graphic designers, planning department and press operators * Master the utility/application software/hardware * Receive the POs when receiving plates * Ensure that drawings and formats are compliant * Master the operation of the work computer * Producing digital offset plates * Perform basic maintenance of equipment (CTP processor) * Ranking contract events * Keep your workstation operational and organized * Ensure data integrity and quality control. Perform all other related tasks related to the prepress department Basic knowledge of Office Suite software in Windows/Mac operating system Skilled in operating imaging equipment (CTP) and plate processor Knowledge of the offset printing process and densitometric techniques - an asset Knowledge of Agfa/Eco3 equipment - an asset. Knowledge of basic printing technologies Ease of scaling with ISO, HACCP, SQF, 5S quality system processes Visual Acuity of Colors (Munsell Test) passed Ability to evaluate, analyze and resolve operational problems.
