Job Description The Materials Planner will develop and manage material replenishment plans to support company objectives for service level, inventory, and cost. Supply Chain Analysis * Execute safety stock and lot sizing models to minimize inventory while maximizing customer service levels. * Develop and implement processes to minimize excess and obsolete inventory. * Uncover and resolve root causes of plant service issues. Identify and implement solutions. * Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including developing and implementing processes. * Actively and aggressively pursue cost reductions, inventory reductions, and increased service year over year. * Perform weekly measure reports as assigned by department roles and responsibilities. Material Planning * Manage replenishment plan to meet objectives. Review and adjust material plan regularly to reflect changes in system parameters. * Support new products, productivity projects, and other product changes to smoothly transition to the new product and minimize obsolete material. Work with project teams as necessary to execute the planned transition on time. * Identify and respond to input spikes or ongoing demand increases/decreases. * Actively support Demand Driven Planning principles and processes. Supplier Management * Manage vendor execution to ensure timely availability of components. * Expedite supplier delivery commitments to support production requirements.
